Self Discipline: Taking Back Control

“Self discipline is the ability to forgo instant gratification in order to take actions that yield long term rewards”.

The above quote is my favourite understanding of self discipline because it clearly embodies the exact opposite of how I spent most of my young life. As I approach three decades on earth, I can safely say that I have been underachieving for most of those decades.
